A contradiction? - not at all. Admittedly logistics and the involved flow of goods- and information consum resources.

Independently from the question, if the current climate change is, exclusively or partially, of anthropogenic origin, the necessary resources for logistics like energy or water are valuable assets which need to be protected.

Beside the saving of our resources, which pays off rather in medium- and long- term there is the short-term advantage of cost savings - in the best own interest of every company.
